2020 Mazda CX-5: News, Changes, Release

Mazda’s successful CX-5 compact, crossover SUV gained a
comprehensive set of upgrades for the 2019 model year and after the 2017
redesign year, the model has finally got the turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
However, Mazda upgraded also the response and stability with the new
G-vectoring system while the model introduced also the new range-topping Grand
Touring Reserve and Signature trims. The model made also some interior and tech
enhancements.

As for the next 2020 Mazda CX-5 version, reports reveal several possible upgrades while Mazda remains silent about its plan. The sleek and elegant CX-5 could come with some styling tweaks and the introduction of the diesel engine would further make the model more competitive.

2020 Mazda CX-5: Design

While Mazda brought significant mechanical and equipment
upgrades for the 2019 model year, the styling of the model remains in the form
shaped by the latest redesign. The CX-5 came with the simpler and more elegant
lines after the recent redesign and keeps the similar dimensions.

The 2020 Mazda CX-5 could get updated front and rear end
styling as the reports indicate. The face of the model will again be defined
with the shield-shaped grille and slim LED headlights. However, with the
several new details in the front bumper section and refreshed grille and
headlights, the next CX-5 should stay fresh until the next redesign.

The rear side should also get the revised taillights and
bumper while the profile will keep the same shape and form.

Interior, equipment:

Two new trims Mazda introduced for the 2019 version brought
unique interior treatments and model gained also more tech features including
the 360-degree parking view. The models also come with heated and ventilated
front steals plus unique wood and dark trim accents.

The next version won’t introduce radical interior upgrades
regarding the style and comfort features while there could be some tech
improvements. Every CX-5 will provide Apple Car Play and Android Auto support.
The base version will offer 17-inch alloy wheels, LEDs, cloth upholstery, a
7-inch touchscreen, blind-spot monitors, emergency braking, rear cross-traffic
alerts, etc.

Available in upper grades will be larger wheels, dual-zone climate control, Bose Audio, Nappa leather, heated and ventilates seats, etc.

2020 Mazda CX-5: Powertrains

Mazda brought finally, the CX-9 sourced 2.5-liter
turbocharged four-cylinder engine in the 2019 version. The new G-vectoring
Control system came also with the turbo four engine providing better control
and traction thanks to the vertical load control, varying torque and braking
friction.

The 2020 Mazda CX-5 version could gain the turbodiesel
engine available in some markets. A 2.2-liter turbocharged inline-4 diesel should
provide around 175 hp.

Two engines available with the 2019 version will return. A
naturally aspirated 2.5-liter inline-4 engine with the fuel-saving technologies
will produce 184 hp and torque of 186 lb-ft. More muscle will provide the
versions with the 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine under the
hood.  The turbo-boosted engine will pump
up to 250 horsepower and torque of 310 pound-feet.

The front-wheel drive and 6-speed automatic will be standard
combo while the all-wheel drive will also be available.

The price range should stay close to the current with the starting position
around $24, 500.    

2020 BMW X5 M: News, Design, Engine, Price

The all-new BMW X5 is here for the 2019 model year and the model entered the new generation with the larger body and more interior room and comfort. The popular SUV packs also the advanced technology and top-notch convenience features but has also the high-performance gear.

However, the BMW X5 is still unfinished business as more versions are set to come. BMW will deliver the plug-in hybrid version with about 40 miles of electric range for the 2021 model year. But, for the higher adrenaline drive buyers will also get the M division-branded model. The high-performance model should arrive as the 2020 BMW X5 M and was already spotted several times while testing. BMW hides, however, the most important details. The engine is known but we don’t have official details about the performance. The same engine will also power the coupe-like X6 M version and more M-branded BMW s will appear in near future including the X3 and X4 high-riding models.

2020 BMW X5 M: Powertrain

The recently redesigned X5 can already be had with the mighty twin-turbo V-8 engine which takes the place under the hood of the xDrive50i version. The 4.4-liter bi-turbo engine makes 456 hp and torque of 479 pound-feet which is enough to launch this model to 60 mph in 4,6 seconds.

The 2020 BMW X5 M will also pack the 4.4-liter bi-turbo V8 under the hood but the heavily revised version of this engine will add more ponies to the count. The M division X5 version should produce around 600 hp and torque around 533 pound-feet. The Competition version could add additional power hitting around 625 hp.

The model will use an 8-speed automatic transmission routing the power to the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The sophisticated system debuted in the new M5 and we will see how it performs in the X5. The X5 M will also get the special-tuned suspension and unique wheel and exhaust system combined with the powerful braking system.

Like the 2019 BMW X5, the M division version will benefit from the use of the modular, lightweight CLAR platform and apply the same design language as the conventional X5 but with additional performance-oriented touches.

The 2020 BMW X5 M will get more attention thanks to the beefier front bumper with larger air openings from the front side and the rear will also get special treatment. The rear bumper and quad exhaust setup will add sportier appearance to the rear side and unique 21-inch alloy wheels and M division mirrors will also distinguish this version from the rest of the range.

Interior, Equipment:

The interior of the model will adopt the same design and layout as the conventional version with a few unique touches. The sports seats and premium sound system will be in the equipment list and the performance SUV will also get the brand’s latest infotainment and safety equipment.

The unstoppable, purpose-built Jeep Wrangler entered the new chapter with more sophistication and comfort inside while preserved its iconic style and improved its off-road capability and efficiency. The new-generation Wrangler can be had with the pricy options, different cab styles, turbocharged powertrain and few advanced safety systems.

Despite being all-new for the 2018 version, Jeep has also more upgrades to offer for the new model year and the diesel engine option is among the most important. The oil-burning powerplant should appear for the 2019 model year and buyers in the US and on the OLD Continent will get distinctive options. Jeep should also add a new special version alongside the 2019 Jeep Wrangler Diesel while the current power options will transit to the new model year in the same form.

2019 Jeep Wrangler Diesel: Performance

The new generation Wrangler introduced the turbocharged engine with the mild-hybrid add-on while continues the V-6 gas engine. The new automatic transmission also comes to the play and diesel engine will appear in the 2019 version.

The Wrangler continues on the body-on-frame architecture and has the solid axles with the coil spring setup. The model also exploits the two-speed, part-time four-wheel drive system in Sahara and Sport models while adds the limited slip differential as an option. The Selec-Trac transfer case is also available but the Rubicon version gets the hardcore off-road gear including the Dana axles, locking differentials, low-range gearing and more.

The 2019 Jeep Wrangler Diesel will, however, contribute with more torque and efficiency. The Wranglers in the US will have a 3.0-liter V-6 turbo diesel under the hood and in the combination with the automatic transmission only. Expect the power around 260 hp while torque sets around 440 pound-feet. The Euro-spec Wrangler will, however, get the four-cylinder turbodiesel. A 2.2 -liter four-cylinder oil-burner is the unit from the Jeep Cherokee and will make 197 hp and torque of 332 lb-ft. It will also come with the 8-speed automatic gearbox exclusively.

When it comes to the design and styling, the 2019 Jeep Wrangler Diesel will be the same form with a few details to get an idea about what it has under the hood.

The model will come with two- and four-door body styles and deferent top options. Jeep will offer new color options and wheel design and the special edition version is also expected.

Interior, equipment:

The new-generation Wrangler is far nicest inside since the recent redesign and also offers more modern tech equipment. The price also goes up fast with more luxury features equipped.

The model will appear with three screen options, soft and hard tops, heated steering wheel and seats, leather upholstery, etc. From the modern safety equipment, it will include parking sensors and blind-spot monitoring. No signs that Jeep will add new safety options.

2019 Jeep Wrangler Diesel: Arrival, Price

The 2019 Jeep Wrangler Diesel will hit the market late this year. The base Wranglers will again start around $28, 000 while the versions with the diesel mill will add several thousand to the price. Jeep hasn’t revealed the price and specs of the diesel variant yet.

2021 BMW X3 eDrive: News, Expectations, Release

The handsome and responsive-to-drive, mid-size, BMW X3 entered the third generation in late 2017 but BMW also defined the next step for this model. The electrification is among the priorities for the brands and BMW is working on the electric-powered X3 version. The new version of the popular X3 was previewed by the iX3 concept at the 2018 Beijing Motor Show and the launch date is expected sometime in 2020. The electric X3 will likely arrive as the part 2021 model year and unlike some expected to be marketed as the 2021 BMW X3 eDrive the model will go to the production under the i sub-brand and use the iX3 nomenclature.

The prototype of the future electric iX3 is already performing the out-door testing and it looks almost identical to the newest version of the conventionally-powered X3. The models will also share the most of the in-car technologies and interior design. The model will be sold globally and the production will take the place in China.

The 2021 BMW iX3 will use the new-generation eDrive platform that actually debuted on its Concept version but won’t go on sale as the 2021 BMW X3 eDrive as some expected. This platform will also be the base of many future vehicles from the brand and BMW is also working on the new-generation solid batteries for the electric models. However, these batteries won’t be here in time for this model but we should expect very good driving range despite that.

On the other hand, the styling of the model won’t be the large departure from the conventional version form. The prototype version spotted recently is almost identical to the current X3 and just a few details make the difference. The model has a conventional kidney grille but for the production version, we should expect enclosed variant like on the Concept vehicle.

BMW will also use slightly different bumpers and what will also define this model are the side charging port and the model will also lack the exhaust tips.

Interior, Equipment:

Inside, the iX3 will also use the same layout as the recently all-new, conventionally-powered X3 but BMW will add a few unique details.

The model will come with the high-end materials and in-car technologies. It will use the new-design instrument panel and the latest connectivity tech. BMW is also working on the self-driving technologies and in the time of coming this model will also integrate the achievements in that area.

As for the powertrain of the 2021 BMW X3 eDrive, it is too early to have precise details but the model won’t depart far from what BMW presented on the concept model.

The model will integrate the fifth-generation eDrive system but remains to see what performance it will be capable of. The newest eDrive version has separate components as will use the high-capacity batteries. BMW promise, its new-gen solid-state batteries would do more than 400 miles per charge but the iX3 should hit the roads before the arrival of these batteries.  The mileage would likely be in 200-range.

The Concept version had a 270-horsepower electric motor in the combination with the 70-kWh battery. BMW claimed the range of this setup to 250 miles and fast charging to 80 percent in about 30 minutes. The production version should be close to these numbers as well.

The 2021 BMW X3 eDrive should make the premiere in late 2020. The price estimation is between $50 and $60k.

2020 BMW X1: Mid-update, Changes, Release

BMW is testing the refreshed X1 crossover which should be ready for the next year launch. The updated X1 was expected as the 2019 model according to the previous reports but the mid-cycle refresh will coincide with the 2020 BMW X1 version.

The new model will bring the small changes on the front and rear side as it is the case with the most mid-updates while changes inside the cabin should be even subtler. The front-wheel-drive-based small crossovers should also return the same-number-of-cylinders engine options with the possible plug-in hybrid introduction. More details will emerge closer to the launch date.

2020 BMW X1

2020 BMW X1: Refreshed look

The new 2020 BMW X1 will bring some visual refreshments and there won’t be radical changes. The prototype version has the swirly camo on the sections of the front and rear sides while the profile remains undisguised.

Obviously, the usual mid-update changes will appear with the new version. The model will gain the new headlights and taillights but both seem to have the similar shape while changes the internal pattern.

The kidney grille version also changes in line with the most recent high-riding models in the range and the front bumper is also the part of the refresh. The rear bumper will also get a slightly restyled form but overall BMW’s first crossover in the range won’t change the styling radically.

Interior, equipment:

As for the interior design and available equipment, the revised X1 will also come in the line with recently revised models from the brand.

The model should get the new steering wheel, gear shifter and iDrive system. A bit larger center display should appear and BMW might also add the new digital instrument cluster. Expect also the rearview camera and automatic emergency braking to become the standard equipment.

2020 BMW X1: Powertrains

The engine range of the new 2020 BMW X1 will again consist of the 3- and 4-cylinder options depending on the market. No details about the performance yet but the power range should vary between 116 and 230 hp.

The version in the US will again get the turbo-4 unit with the 8-speed automatic transmission and standard two-wheel drive. The power on all four wheels will also be available but some sources suggest a new sub-200 hp engine option.

BMW might also offer the plug-in hybrid version. The X1 version in China has the setup with the 1.5-liter inline-3 turbo engine and the electric motor at the rear axle. The 10.7-kWh battery pack provides the range around 37 miles in this version. Some sort of this setup should also find the way to the new markets with the arrival of the next version or later.

The new 2020 BMW X1 will debut in the first part of 2019 with the on-sale date next fall. A slight bump in the price range is expected. However, the base version will again stay close to $34, 000.

2020 Honda HR-V: News, Design, Specs, Price

Honda’s subcompact HR-V crossover was one of the first
contenders in this rapidly growing class and this well-to-ride and
flexible-interior model still remains in the top of the recommendation list.
The brand has been overhauling the crossover SUV range and we saw recently the
all-new Honda Passport and refreshed Pilot SUV. The HR-V received also the
number of updates for the 2019 version including the front and rear styling
refresh, updated interior and tech features and the addition of new Sport and
Touring trims.

The next 2020 Honda HR-V won’t bring substantial design upgrades and the model also has the up-to-date tech and safety equipment. Still, Honda will likely offer the new body color options and possibly the new exterior theme.  Honda promised also the hybridization of the entire light truck range but there are no hints yet that the next version will get this option. The addition of the turbocharged gasoline mill is among the possibilities as some reports claim as well.

The recently refreshed, Honda Fit-related, subcompact
crossover will continue to benefit from the last year styling updates and there
won’t be substantial design or structural changes until the next full redesign.
Buyers should expect the next 2020 Honda HR-V with the new color options and
wheel styles. 

The smallest in Honda SUV range model has an attractive
appearance with the nicely defined body lines. 
The model combines actually the crossover and coupe styling cues which
seems like the good combination from the visual perspective. The HR-V has
up-to-date grille style and the new design of the headlights. Honda refreshed
also the look of the bumpers and taillights for the 2019 mid-update.

The model will use the 17-inch alloy wheels on the base
version and update the styling of the Sport version with 18-inch units and add
dark trim exterior accents.

Interior, Equipment:

Honda updated also the interior of the popular HR-V for the
2019 version. The model received the reshaped front seats and upgraded
upholstery quality plus improved sound insulation. The part of the mid-update
was also improved infotainment system and safety equipment.

The HR-V will provide the 5-inch center display, Bluetooth,
rearview camera and we could also see the extension of the actives safety
systems to the base trim. The Sport trim will add larger wheels, additional
sound insulation, a 7-inch center display. The upper grades will add the heated
seats, leather upholstery, a navigation system, etc.

The Safety Sense Suite available currently in the EX trim and higher could be introduced in lower trims as well.

The current Honda HR-V goes on sale in the US with the
single, naturally aspirated engine. A 1.8-liter four-cylinder gasoline mill
makes 141 horsepower and torque 121 pound-feet of torque. The 2020 Honda HR-V
will also return this engine in the combination with the continuously variable
transmission and dilemma between the front- and all-wheel drive. With this
power unit, the model will provide a 28/34 mpg city-highway fuel economy with
the 2WD. The 4WD versions will return 27/31 mpg.

The big news for the 2020 version could be the inclusion of
the turbocharged four-cylinder engine as per the latest reports. A 1.5-liter
turbo-4 engine with the power around 174 hp like in the Civic hatch would be
the great upgrade for the subcompact crossover but Honda hasn’t yet confirmed
this possibility. The HR-V should also get the hybrid powertrain but it still
remains unclear when Honda will install it.

2020 Hyundai Palisade: Design, Specs, Release

The 2020 Hyundai Palisade is the new name in the brand’s portfolio that debuted at the 2018 LA Auto Show. However, the all-new model is essentially the replacement of the three-row Santa Fe XL. The smaller two-row Santa Fe Sport entered the fourth generation as the 2019 Santa Fe while the bigger, three-row Santa Fe was marketed as the 2019 Santa Fe XL. Now, the Hyundai Palisade is the new name and design for the successor of the Santa FE XL and the rival for the models like Subaru Ascent, Honda Pilot and Chevy Traverse.

The mid-size Palisade comes with the new, bold exterior design and spacious and well-equipped interior. The family-friendly crossover SUV offers the latest technologies and convenience features one would expect in this kind of vehicle nowadays. Powering the model is the Genesis-sourced V-6 and there is an available HTRAC all-wheel-drive system.

The all-new, mid-size 2020 Hyundai Palisade comes with the new bolder exterior design inspired by the latest crossovers in the brand’s range. The model has an eye-catchy grille with the more dynamic shape and mesh pattern. The sharp, split-style headlights also define the face of the new model while more sculpted lines and fenders also boost the visual impression. The Palisade has also the sculpted tailgate with the tall taillights. The model will ride on the 18-inch wheels as standard and the size will grow up to 20 inches in the top trims.

The replacement of the Santa Fe XL is also longer than the old-nameplate model for 3 inches while Hyundai stretched the wheelbase for 4 inches. The result is more space inside for the passengers and their cargo.

Interior, Equipment:

Inside the cabin, Hyundai maximizes the passenger space but provides also the latest tech and convenience features.

The model offers seats for up to eight and among the best-in-class rear seat legroom. Thanks to the longer body and 4 inches longer wheelbase, the Palisade provides more than 40 inches of the rear seat leg room and 31.4 inches of the leg room for the third-row passengers. The cargo space is also increased to 18 cubes with the all seats up and 45.8 cubes with the third-row fold flat.

The Palisade comes also with the driver-oriented dash design and provides two cup holders per passenger. The model includes also eight USBs, 10.3-inches infotainment screen, 12.3-inches digital instrument cluster, smartphone compatibility features, wireless charging, etc.

The safety is also following the trends in the industry. The three-row Palisade comes equipped with the adaptive cruise control, lane centering, automatic emergency braking, child lock, etc.

The 2020 Hyundai Palisade debuts with the single engine option. Like in the Santa Fe XL, the model gets the V-6 engine under the hood but the 3.8-liter Genesis-sourced displacement changes the 3.3-liter V-6 unit. While the V-6 makes 290 hp in the Santa FE XL, the new 3.8-liter V-6 provides 291 hp and torque of 262 pound-feet in the new Palisade.

The power goes through the 8-speed automatic transmission to the front wheel by default. The HTRAC all-wheel drive will provide better traction and performance optionally. The model offers also the new Snow traction mode and locking differential.

2020 Honda Passport: Design, Specs, Equipment, Price

Honda has recently revived the Passport nameplate and the model takes the form of the two-row crossover SUV with the “soft off-road” capability and plenty of interior space. The Passport model fills the gap between the compact CR-V and mid-size Pilot in the brand’s formidable crossover SUV range. The model shares plenty of style, interior features and mechanics with the Pilot SUV and the production takes place at the factory in Lincoln, Alabama where the three-row Pilot is being assembled as well.

Honda will offer the 2020 Honda Passport with the single engine option like the mid-size Pilot and the range of trims will also be familiar. The two-row Passport will go on sale in four trims including Sport, EX-L, Touring ould and Elite. The model will provide the same towing capability as the larger Pilot while will be more capable for the off-road adventures. There will also be the latest tech and safety systems and several premium features.

The 2020 Honda Passport shares the platform with the Pilot SUV and Ridgeline pickup and the model uses also the similar mechanic elements.

The Passport is, however, sized for the transportation of up to five people and provides plenty of cargo thanks to the clever interior design. The model measures 190,5 inches from bumper to bumper while rides on the 111-inch wheelbase. The wheelbase is identical to that of the larger Pilot but the Passport is 6 inches shorter while has a 10-inch longer footprint than the compact CR-V.

Form the visual perspective, the model looks like the shrunken Pilot with the similar shape and styling elements. The shape of the grille and the headlights are similar to the latest vehicles from Honda. The Passport has also nice creases on the hood and dynamic character line on the side panels.

The model improves also the off-road capability with the lifted ride height and taller wheel arches than the larger Pilot. The Passport has the ride height of 8.4 inches and boasts also the better approach and departure angles than the larger cousin. The approach angle is 21,4 degrees and departure 27, 6 inches.

Interior, Equipment:

Inside the cabin, the Passport uses the design familiar from the larger Pilot and offer a similar equipment range. The same wheelbase as the three-row Pilot provides, however, competitive passenger and cargo space.  With the all five seats in function, the model provides 41,2 cubes of the cargo room while with no passengers in the rear row the capacity shrinks to 100 cubes. The model has also a number of storage compartments and plenty of the legroom in both rows.

As for the available equipment, the base model starts with the cloth upholstery, LED headlights, keyless ignition, etc. The standard equipment includes also the 7-inch TFT instrument cluster display, a 5-inch center screen, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, etc. The EX-L adds an 8-inch touchscreen with the smartphone support, leather upholstery, power tailgate, heated front seats, etc. The Touring improves with the heated rear seats, wi-fi hotspot, parking sensors, etc. The range-topping version has the cooled seats, heated steering wheel, unique trim accents and more.

Honda makes also the Passport safer with the standard systems like the adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, active lane control and lane departure warning. The blind-spot monitoring becomes the standard equipment in the EX-L and upper grades.

The 2020 Honda Passport adopts the Pilot-based underpinning and the same engine as well. A 3.5-liter V-6 makes 280 hp and torque of 262 pound-feet. The 9-speed automatic transmission sends the power to the front wheel by default. The available four-wheel drive and improved ride height compared to the three-row Pilot and combined with the shorter overhangs boost the off-road capability over the Pilot’s but the Passport remains the soft off-roader.

The Passport will also provide the good towing capability. The same platform and mechanics mean the same towing ratings as the Pilot SUV. The front-wheel-drive Passport allows up to 3, 500 pounds of towing. With the power on all wheels, the model can tow up to 5, 000 pounds.

After the investment of about $1.3 billion and hours of testing and designing, JLR has brought the all-new Evoque in front of the public. The brand’s fast-selling and smallest SUV benefits from the improvements on all fronts but still remains recognizable form.

The second-generation 2020 Range Rover Evoque comes on the new platform and with the almost all-new body structure. The model improves also the interior comfort combining it with the top-notch tech and safety technologies. The look is also sleeker and more elegant while there are also more efficient and powerful powertrains.

The redesigned, second generation 2020 Range Rover Evoque started the transformation with the new platform and body structure. The Premium Transverse Architecture is intended for brand’s smaller models with the goal of providing better electrification and performance. The new platform is the mixed-material construction with the high strength and regular steel, aluminum and magnesium in the mix. The new design opens the door for the mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid technologies as well as for the Ingenium family of engines.

With the new underpinning, the redesigned Evoque also sports the sleeker Velar-inspired look and a 90 percent of the body structure is also new. The new body is placed on 0.8 inches longer wheelbase. This translates to more rear legroom but with the shorter overhangs, the model is actually slightly shorter.

The look of the new Evoque is the evolution of the current design with the obvious similarities with the Velar SUV. The same basic look remains in the combination with the sloping roofline and high beltline. The models gained, however, the new grille and headlights and redesigned lower openings. The slim grille version has the honeycomb pattern and comes with the narrow, nicely accentuated headlights.

The model has also the smooth body lines and flush door handles. The sculpted fenders add a bit of the contrast to the flat panels. The rear side is also fresh with the new two-piece taillights.

The brand will offer the new Evoque with nice contrasting body painting options and wheel sizes ranging from 17- 21 inches.

Interior, equipment:

The interior of the new Evoque comes with the improved comfort and the latest technologies. The stretched wheelbase opens more space for the rear passengers and the new seats also boost the comfort. With the increased passenger comfort, the new Evoque improved also the cargo area to 50.5 cubic feet.

The handsome look of the model is matched with the high-quality materials and rich textures inside the cabin. The model also gained the Touch Pro Duo touchscreen system with the pair of 10.2-inch screens which debuted in the Velar model. The Evoque provides also Apple Car Play and Android Auto support. In front of the driver is a 12.-3 digital instrument cluster and there is also the head-up display projecting the information on the windshield.  The newly added ground view camera also provides the picture of what is underneath and ahead of the front wheels.

The power for the new 2020 Range Rover Evoque comes from the two powertrain options in the US while the diesel options will appear on the Old Continent.

The base Evoque will use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder Ingenium engine. The unit makes 246 hp and torque of 369 lb-ft compared to the previous version 237 hp and torque of 251 lb-ft. In the combination with the engine is a 9-speed automatic gearbox.

The option will be a P300 version with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and 48-volt mild-hybrid system. The power it provides is 296 hp and the MHEV system. Using also the 14.7-hp belt-integrated generator it provides 6 percent improved efficiency and improved torque response.

JLR hasn’t confirmed yet the plug-in hybrid powertrain for the US which will appear in Europe next year. The system will integrate the 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine with the power output of 197 hp in the combination with the starter generator and electric motor. The 40.2-hp generator will power the front wheels while the 106-hp electric motor will spin the rear wheels and get the power from the 11.3- kWh battery.

The model also features the new-generation all-wheel-drive system which can transfer the power between the rear wheels simulating the torque vectoring and can also lock the rear wheels. The Terrain Select 2 system will also be available with the modes for Sand, Mud, Snow, Eco, etc. The SUV boasts also lifted ground clearance. The 8.3 inches of the ground clearance comes with the 20-degree approach and 30-degree departure angles while can go through the 23.6-inch deep water.

The 2020 Range Rover Evoque will go on sale in the US next year after the debut at the next Chicago Auto Show. We will know the price after the debut but it should go slightly up from the current base $42, 000.

After the redesign of the Equinox and Traverse SUVs, Chevy has recently introduced the all-new, mid-size Blazer model to split the difference between the two mentioned. The new five-seater version arrived as the 2019 model and it is reborn of the nameplate discontinued in 2005. However, Chevy switched to the more civilized unibody design instead of the truck-based roots in the past. The model has an angry new look and well-equipped interiors. The power comes from the non-turbo engines and three trims are available in the first model year.

The 2020 Chevy Blazer version will broad the equipment list with the new options and possibly additional trim level. Many would like the model to come with the new turbocharged engine option but Chevy might wait for the later model years to go with that move.

The Chevy Blazer is the new design and styling in the brand’s range and with its angry look, the model won’t lack the attention. Chevy adopted the old nameplate to the new unibody design with the more comfort in mind while the body-on-frame structure of the previous version left in the history. However, the truck-based Trailblazer version is still available in the global markets.

The stylish, new Balzer model will continue to the next model year with the new color options and the new special treatment exterior package is also the possibility. The model has an aggressive, sculpted body design and the new front fascia among the bowtie brand’s SUVs.

The narrow headlights and aggressive grille design define the front-end style while the profile also gets attention with the sculpted fenders, swoopy character line and floating roof. The rear has also plenty of sports cues and nice taillights.

Inside the cabin, the Blazer is a toned-down design compared to the aggressive exterior style. The model has nice dash design and offers modern tech and convenient features. The cargo capacity limit is at 64.2 cubes with the non-functional rear seats.

The model will provide the latest infotainment system with the 8-inch screen interface and smartphone features in all versions. The part of the equipment list will also be a WiFi, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear row, premium upholstery and sound system, etc. The model won’t also lack advanced safety systems.

The power options for the 2020 Chevy Blazer will include the two engines from the 2019 model. The base 2020 Blazer will get the power from the 2.5-liter inline-4 engine. The engine is good for 193 hp and torque of 188 pound-feet.

As the power upgrade, Chevy will offer a 3.0-liter V-6 engine. The V-6 version will provide 305 hp and torque of 269 pound-feet. In any case, the 9-speed automatic transmission will be in the pair and the model will also provide the sophisticated all-wheel drive with the twin-clutch rear differential.

As the possibility for the next Balzer, the reports suggest the introduction of the turbocharged four-cylinder engine but Chevy has promised that yet.
