But being larger and more expensive than these models the elegant, turbocharged, efficient and well-equipped XT4 can also be an alternative to the BMW X, Audi Q5, Mercedes GLC, etc.

The XT4 is a smaller brand’s SUV than the XT5 and with the distinctive styling but Cadillac is also testing the new flagship, three-row model which should debut early next year and comes as the Cadillac XT6.

On the other hand, the 2020 Cadillac XT4 will come with the several new color options and more standard equipment. The model might also offer another trim option.

2020 Cadillac XT4

The XT4 comes with the signature LED daytime running lights and also wears more defined lines and shapes than larger XT5. The mesh grille is also sleeker and sportier than on the brand’s next in hierarchy SUV. 2020 Cadillac Escalade: Redesign, More powertrain options, Arrival

After the arrival of the attractive and turbocharged small luxury SUV, the XT4, Cadillac was recently in the news when the spy photos of brand’s new three-row high-riding model appeared. The new model will likely get the XT6 badge and position in the mid-size class. But the brand is simultaneously working on the new generation of the large Escalade model as well.

No spy photos of the redesigned Escalade appeared yet but some reports reveal some details about what we should expect. The model will likely be ready for sale in late 2019 or early 2020. So, it will likely arrive as the 2020 Cadillac Escalade. Further details reveal possible three powertrain options including the plug-in hybrid version. The style will likely draw some inspiration from the Escala Concept while the latest model from the brand should give us insight about the technology we should expect.

2020 Cadillac Escalade

2020 Cadillac Escalade: Three powertrain options

If the latest reports prove to be true in the future, the 2020 Cadillac Escalade should switch from the current single V-8 engine to three powertrain options where the plug-in hybrid version is also possible.

No clear details about options available yet, but since the new Silverado and Sierra trucks will offer the 6.2-liter V-8 engine, the Escalade will likely keep this engine in the equipment list well. The current version of this engine makes 420 hp and 460 pound-feet of torque. However, the engine will surely make some performance and efficiency upgrades.

What could, however, be the great news is the reports about the new twin-turbo V-8 engine which should also arrive with the new-gen version. We are speaking about the 4.2-liter bi-turbo V-8 from the CT6 model. The engine if comes as an option and will provide over 400 hp while the version in the CT6 V-Sport can deliver 550 hp and torque of 627 pound-feet. In any case, both engines will be in the pair with the 10-speed automatic transmission. The two- and all-wheel drive options will also be in the game.

However, the new Escalade could also come with the plug-in hybrid option but that could wait for the next model year after the redesign. The plug-in hybrid version would likely be some form of the plug-in hybrid powertrain from the CT6. This system integrates the pair of electric motors and a turbocharged four-cylinder engine.

The new Escalade should also provide a more comfortable ride thanks to the new independent rear suspension setup.

2020 Cadillac Escalade

2020 Cadillac Escalade: Design, Interior

We don’t have many details about the design of the new 2020 Cadillac Escalade. The model is expected to stay on the truck-based platform while should adopt the design language from the Escala Concept.

The Concept model also influenced the look of the new XT4 and applied to the boxy Escalade it should lead to more elegant and sleeker looks as it would be possible for the model’s size and shape. The new grille version and headlights similar to the units on the new Cadillacs and sleeker profile should contribute to that. No details about the changes in size.

The interior should also come with the notable changes. Cadillac will use high-quality materials and attractive textures while will also offer the latest tech and safety features.

The new dash will ingrate the larger center screen interface and the latest features from this area. The advanced safety systems will also be the part of the deal and expect them from the base version of course.

2020 Cadillac Escalade: Arrival, Price

The 2020 Cadillac Escalade will likely wait for the release date in late 2019. The price will likely close to $80, 000 from the current base $75, 195.

2020 Chevy Tahoe: Redesign, Changes, Engines, Debut

While Chevy presented the redesigned Chevy Silverado early this year the brand is also simultaneously working on the new-generation Silverado HD models and the truck-based SUVs. So, it’s not strange that the half-ton Silverado made the first to the public as this model will borrow the design, running gear, tech, etc. to the upcoming vehicles. The larger Suburban was spotted earlier while testing but the fast-selling Tahoe will also enter the new generation as the 2020 model.

The 2020 Chevy Tahoe, based on the spy photos and some sources, will finally switch to the independent rear suspension while coming also with the redesigned chassis and lighter. The model will get the modernized styling and interior adding also the newest teach features. The powertrain range should provide better performance and efficiency, with the possibility of the diesel engine introduction.

2020 Chevy Tahoe

2020 Chevy Tahoe: Design

The new, three-row 2020 Chevy Tahoe will share the same platform with the redesigned 2019 Silverado 1500 and come much lighter. With the extensive use of the high-tensile steel in the new underpinning and aluminum alloy for the swing-body elements, the new Tahoe should also reduce the weight significantly. The new-generation Tahoe could weigh as much 400 pounds less than the version it replaces. However, at the same time, the model could gain additional inches for the extended interior capacity.

Visually, the new version should come with the more modern styling but the heavily camouflaged prototype doesn’t reveal much. The model will sport the dual-port grille combined with the new headlights. The body lines and edges seem also to be softened but we will have a clear picture of model’s new look when the introduction takes place likely early next year.

Interior, Equipment:

The interior of the new Tahoe should increase the level of luxury, comfort and convenience. There should also be the increased interior capacity thanks to the additional inches and new cabin configuration.

The model will also get the newest tech features Chevy has on offer. The new infotainment system with the smartphone support and new center display will appear alongside the modern safety systems. The large SUV will rely on the systems like the adaptive cruise control, lane control, automatic emergency braking, automatic high beams, etc.

2020 Chevy Tahoe

2020 Chevy Tahoe: Powertrains

As for the engine choices, we should expect the 2020 Chevy Tahoe with the duo of familiar V-8 engines.

A 5.3-liter V-8 engine should appear with the improved fuel saving system and the new 8-speed automatic transmission. The power and torque ratings should stay around 355 hp and 383 lb-ft.

A 6.3-liter V-8 should be a more potent V-8 option in the combination with the new 10-speed automatic transmission.  The power with this engine should move to around 420 hp and torque to 460 lb-ft.

However, the next-generation Tahoe could also gain the diesel engine option. Again, related with the light-duty Silverado a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V-6 would produce around 282 hp and torque of 450 lb-ft.

The new Tahoe will also switch to the rear independent suspension and will also provide the off-road upgrades.

2020 Chevy Tahoe: Release, Price

The redesigned 2020 Chevy Tahoe will likely debut at the Auto Show early next year. The price will likely move the starting point around $50, 000 but it will be known after the debut.

2020 Chevy Blazer: News, Design, Specs

After the redesign of the Equinox and Traverse SUVs, Chevy has recently introduced the all-new, mid-size Blazer model to split the difference between the two mentioned. The new five-seater version arrived as the 2019 model and it is reborn of the nameplate discontinued in 2005. However, Chevy switched to the more civilized unibody design instead of the truck-based roots in the past. The model has an angry new look and well-equipped interiors. The power comes from the non-turbo engines and three trims are available in the first model year.

The 2020 Chevy Blazer version will broad the equipment list with the new options and possibly additional trim level. Many would like the model to come with the new turbocharged engine option but Chevy might wait for the later model years to go with that move.

2020 Chevy Blazer

2020 Chevy Blazer: Design

The Chevy Blazer is the new design and styling in the brand’s range and with its angry look, the model won’t lack the attention. Chevy adopted the old nameplate to the new unibody design with the more comfort in mind while the body-on-frame structure of the previous version left in the history. However, the truck-based Trailblazer version is still available in the global markets.

The stylish, new Balzer model will continue to the next model year with the new color options and the new special treatment exterior package is also the possibility. The model has an aggressive, sculpted body design and the new front fascia among the bowtie brand’s SUVs.

The narrow headlights and aggressive grille design define the front-end style while the profile also gets attention with the sculpted fenders, swoopy character line and floating roof. The rear has also plenty of sports cues and nice taillights.

Interior, Equipment:

Inside the cabin, the Blazer is a toned-down design compared to the aggressive exterior style. The model has nice dash design and offers modern tech and convenient features. The cargo capacity limit is at 64.2 cubes with the non-functional rear seats.

The model will provide the latest infotainment system with the 8-inch screen interface and smartphone features in all versions. The part of the equipment list will also be a WiFi, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear row, premium upholstery and sound system, etc. The model won’t also lack advanced safety systems.

2020 Chevy Blazer

2020 Chevy Blazer: Powertrains

The power options for the 2020 Chevy Blazer will include the two engines from the 2019 model. The base 2020 Blazer will get the power from the 2.5-liter inline-4 engine. The engine is good for 193 hp and torque of 188 pound-feet.

As the power upgrade, Chevy will offer a 3.0-liter V-6 engine. The V-6 version will provide 305 hp and torque of 269 pound-feet. In any case, the 9-speed automatic transmission will be in the pair and the model will also provide the sophisticated all-wheel drive with the twin-clutch rear differential.

As the possibility for the next Balzer, the reports suggest the introduction of the turbocharged four-cylinder engine but Chevy has promised that yet.

2020 Chevy Blazer: Arrival, Price

The 2020 Chevy Blazer will have the launch date in late 2019. The price range will again start around $30, 000.

With the capability of delivering 228 hp and 258 lb-ft combined with the precise steering and suspension, the model provides great driving dynamics but BMW will surely try to draw more from the refreshed 2019 BMW X1. So, we should expect some efficiency and performance improvements.

The plug-in hybrid version of this model is also expected sometime in the near future but not for the upcoming model year.

2019 BMW X1: Arrival, Price

The 2019 BMW X1 should uncover its secrets later in the year and go on sale in 2019. The current X1 starts from $33, 900 but BMW will make some price corrections and we should expect the price to go slightly up.

range. Mercedes hasn’t yet revealed exact details but the changes should
reflect those done on the updated C-Class.

The base powertrain with the 2.0-liter turbocharged
four-cylinder engine should move the number of horsepower from the current 241
to around 255.

A potent 3.0-liter turbocharged V-6 from the AMG GLC 43
should boast improved horsepower number as well. The current 362 hp should see
the boost to 385 hp which should improve the 60-mph run from the current 4.8
seconds to lower 4-second range.

The recently added AMG GLC 63 and the plug-in hybrid
versions should keep the current performance.
