Toilet Paper Roll Pig
Last week we focused on farm animals and I decided to make a pig. I had some toilet paper rolls sitting around so I went into the craft room and dug out some supplies! Here is what I used:
Toilet Paper Roll (or cut a paper towel roll)
Pink Foam paper
Pink Pipe Cleaner
Hot glue gun and glue
First cut a circle a little bit larger than the end of the roll out of the foam paper. Use masking tape to attach the foam to one end of the roll, you want the tape to be hidden since this is the pig's face.
Cut the felt long enough to wrap exactly around the roll and have about an inch over the ends to tuck into the roll.
Use the hot glue gun to adhere the felt to the roll. Cut the pipe cleaner small enough to make a curly tail, about 2 to 3 inches. Slit a small hole in the felt where you want the tail and push the pipe cleaner through and wrap the end so it stays.
Put hot glue on the inside of the roll and fold the excess felt in to attach to the inside of the roll.
Cut small triangles out of the foam for the ears and bend the large end when you attach it with the hot glue. Cut a square of the foam for the front feet and cut a divider in between the feet. Cut slits in the foam for 'toes'. For the hind legs cut a strip of foam about 3/4 inch wide and 4-5 inches long and cut slits for 'toes' and attach all of the feet to the bottom of the roll with hot glue.
Glue on the googly eyes and the button nose and draw a mouth.
You now have a cute little fuzzy pig!
