Paint Outside!

This weekend we decided to paint outside. I started with some paper taped down in the baby pool and squirted some paint on it.

Z wasn't interested in that and wanted to paint standing up so I taped some paper to the play set and gave him some paint brushes and paint.

Soon Z felt like K was having fun and wanted to join in so they painted together. K was hesitant at first but ended up diving in!

Z decided he wanted to paint his feet with a brush instead of just stepping in the paint!  Then they both went to the "easel" and painted a masterpiece together.

Once they were done with that Z asked to paint on the patio. I figured it was finger paints, so why not?!
They had a great time and made a filthy mess!  What's your favorite way to paint?!

  1. What a great idea! If only it would stop raining here long enough for us to paint outside! One also let my girls paint their finger nails outside .. less mess inside!

  2. I love how you used the pool to paint inside! We have an easel outside for the kids to paint on and they love it! I haven't thought about letting them paint elsewhere outside, though! Great idea! My kids also love to paint with water all over outside! Glad I found your blog! ~Jessica @ www.motheringwithcreativity.com

  3. I love it! We have an easel in the yard and my kids usually end up naked and covered in paint from head to toe! Glad you let them get good and creative (& messy!)
