A few days ago it hit close to home when a friend of mine's grandparents were hit by a drunk driver at 5pm. They are both in their 80s and just celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary.
Her grandfather didn't make it and her grandmother, who has Alzheimer's, suffered injuries but is now confused, heartbroken, and has been released from the hospital.
Because of the carelessness of a stranger, somebody lost a grandfather, a father, a brother, and a friend.
Please remember other people when you decide if you are okay to drive. If you question it at all, you should just get a cab or call a friend.
It is not just about you, it is about all of those other drivers on the road who are putting their trust in you to drive sober.
Please be safe and think before you drive.
