May is for All Women

I am participating in project post May is for All Women!  This is a project inspired by Modern Hippie Momma and I encourage everybody to join in.  Please go check it out at the link.  All I need to do is write a post about a woman in my life who has had an impact on my life and find a quote to go along!

The first woman who has impacted my life is my sister.  There are so many ways she has impacted my life, I cannot even begin to list them so I am going to give you the quote that I think currently fits.

"If you don't like something change it; if you can't change it, change the way you think about it."  By Mary Engelbreit

We have both had our problems in life and we have both handled them differently.  I think I got the easier road because I had her to stand above me and make it easier.  My sister has always been there for me and has always encouraged me to do the things I want to and succeed.

Recently she has taken an awesome turn in her life and has taken her happiness into her own hands and has succeeded at doing so.  It has been an amazing transformation in her and it encourages me to be that better person too.  She has taken to seeing the good in everything and becoming healthier and happier.

She has encouraged me to start my day thinking about the good things instead of the bad and to smile at strangers because it will make me happy and just might make their day.

She has also been helping me learn about eating 'real' foods and using chemical free things for the house and for the kids and myself.  This is something that I would have probably never even thought about without her.

I want to thank her for being there for me always and for encouraging me and understanding me.  She has been a huge impact on my life and I don't know what I would have done growing up without her.  I know that I wouldn't be the person I am today.

Thanks for being my sister.
