Egg Carton Flowers

Age range: 3+

Supplies needed:

Clear egg carton
Acrylic paint
Small screwdriver to poke holes
Pipe cleaners
Scissors
Vase

We had a clear egg carton and Z likes to practice cutting everything he finds so he was cutting apart the egg carton when I noticed the cups he was cutting out would be cute flowers! He cut all of the cups out.

I poked holes in the center before painting (so I didn't cause any paint to crack or rub off).

He decided on different colors and painted the cups and even practices mixing some colors in the process! After the paint dried Z poked the pipe cleaners through the holes I made and folder it over to hold the flower on.

He put them in a pretty vase and showed off his beautiful flowers! The great thing about this craft is that he did almost everything on his own with a little guidance from me. Hope you enjoy!
