Do you ever just have one of those days? You wake up grumpy and just can't get out of that funk?!
That was me today.
I tried everything that normally works to change my attitude. I took about 10 minutes of Me time while my husband was still home, I took deep breaths when I got irritated, I stretched, and I even put a smile on my face with the determination to make it real!
I decided to take a walk with the kids. It is a pretty big hassle to get 2 babies, a 4 year old, and myself ready for a walk in the winter, but I had to try something else!
We walked for about 20 minutes and I felt better when we got back. Then something would happen and I was right back to being grumpy!
All 3 kids napped at the same time today so I actually got a decent break.
I spent the whole time cleaning my kitchen.
Who would've thought that would be my cure?
Anybody who knows me, knows that I am a clutterer and always have papers and random items all over the place.
I don't like cleaning and I put it off until it is a must do, but when I was done and looked around at the nice clean countertops, the cleared off fridge ( I finally took all of my son's artwork down), and the uncluttered kitchen table, I felt a sense of accomplishment and it brightened my mood a lot.
What do you do to get out of a funk?
